The Place Where Our Love Grows

Just like this old porch, we are tattered and torn

Sagging sides, scuffed up boards and so much more

But on a sunny day, she is the coolness of the shade

And we don’t mind the marks all on the door

It’s where our love grows, strong and wide and deep

Plans are made and blessings sought and we watch our dreams compete

The drinks are cold, the skies alive and we thank God for what we hold

Our vacation from the world, where they can’t take both our souls

Together we are one

In the place where our love grows

After all these years, she still stands on her own

Survived the storms, the fights and all our fearful moans

So many memories and secrets kept from the world

We can weather any night out on that porch

It’s where our love grows, strong and wide and deep

Plans are made and blessings sought and we watch our dreams compete

The drinks are cold, the skies alive and we thank God for what we hold

Our vacation from the world, where they can’t take both our souls

Together we are one

In the place where our love grows

When the years are behind us, and the days are gold

We’ll be together, where the seeds were gently sown

Where grace and mercy, and true love was really known

Hand in hand, where it began

In the place where our love grows

It’s where our love grows, strong and wide and deep

Plans are made and blessings sought and we watch our dreams compete

The drinks are cold, the skies alive and we thank God for what we hold

Our vacation from the world, where they can’t take both our souls

Together we are one

In the place where our love grows

The drinks are cold, the skies alive and we thank God for what we hold

Our vacation from the world, where they can’t take both our souls

Together we are one

In the place where our love grows
