The sun comes up and a new day dawns
It’s a chaotic life where people rise and fall
Do you see the pain, did you witness the disturbed?
Do you reach out and give them so much more than they deserve?
♦♦
Can you hear the silent screams, do you ignore the time it takes?
Do you pretend you are too busy to fight the war and take up rank?
The moon turns red, and the hearts are crying out
The signs, the times, the battle cries
Don’t turn your back on God
♦♦
The wind is changing and disaster is arise
Yet people go on without seeing what’s right in front of their eyes
When the roll is called up yonder, will you hear your name be called?
Will you stand in rest assurance or hide your face behind the wall?
♦♦
Can you hear the silent screams, do you ignore the time it takes?
Do you pretend you are too busy to fight the war and take up rank?
The moon turns red, and the hearts are crying out
The signs, the times, the battle cries
Don’t turn your back on God
♦♦
The sun goes down, at the end of each day
Did you see me, did you hear me, did you ask me to pray?
Did you capture my soul, did we remain even friends?
When darkness has fallen are you still my person?
♦♦
Can you hear the silent screams, do you ignore the time it takes?
Do you pretend you are too busy to fight the war and take up rank?
The moon turns red, and the hearts are crying out
The signs, the times, the battle cries
Don’t turn your back on God
♦♦
As I lay down my head, my heart beats quietly just for you
I pray you opened your eyes and could see only His truth
Hear my cries for their souls, don’t turn on us now
The promise He holds we cannot deny
♦♦
Can you hear the silent screams, do you ignore the time it takes?
Do you pretend you are too busy to fight the war and take up rank?
The moon turns red, and the hearts are crying out
The signs, the times, the battle cries
Don’t turn your back on God
♦♦
The signs, the times, the battle cries
Don’t turn your back on us
